Changing Seasons
Winter! ice edged waters
of the creek soon frozen under leaning
sycamore's ancient canopy now woven
into clear cold cloudless skies above
the leafless branches bending in afternoon winds
that blow til evening moonlight chills
already freezing air that pulls frozen edges
together to close open channels
of glistening waters stilled at autumn's end |
