Aletta (Teeple) Pennoyer

Mrs. Henry Pennoyer’s Story

Mrs. Pennoyer’s Story

In 1885, Aletta (Teeple) Pennoyer started a project that would take her three years to complete.  She wanted a written document of her life, a book of her experiences, that could be passed on to her children.

The Pennoyer’s lived on State Road, two and a half miles east of Nunica, Michigan.

The 1864 Crockery / Polkton Township plat map shows the location of their property.

Mrs. Pennoyer’s story consists of three chapters.  The first chapter was started in 1885.  The second chapter was started a year later on March 4, 1886.  And the final chapter was started on May 4, 1887.

The remaining four pages of this website contain the three chapters of Mrs. Ponnoyer’s book.
