Dear Sister Lizzie,

Received your welcome letter Monday eve.  Glad to hear you are well and in good health not as we heard in the Coopersville news that you was lonesome and not well.  So you can imagine how troubled we were not to hear from you Saturday night.  If we did not hear Monday eve I do believe you would see Ma down there Tuesday.  Well never mind now if you are well.  I hope you will keep so till you come home.

How is your hair.  I washed my head today when I got through washing and it made me think of you.  (your head).  You said you felt it in your bones.  We had ice cream Sunday but you did not feel right.  We did not.  But we had some Monday eve to make up.  Guess it was something else you felt.  We only had it 3 time since you went.

Kate came home Saturday night but went back Sunday as usual.  You spoke about the onions they are fine but not fit to use.  The Gander striped the butter beans.  I could kill him.  Ma wants you to get that picture.  Will send 80 cts in stamps for it.  Pa will send you some money soon.  I was alone Sunday.  Ma and Sade went to Aunt Kate’s so I and Nora went up to see D. Malone.  There was a good many there you can imagine.

Father O’Connor stopped here Monday on his way from Berlin to Dinner.  He asked me how FitzPatric was.  He said he thought he was sick after the sceare.  Said he guess he would get his hair pulled.  Would tell more if I had time.  We are very busy now days.  Don’t have time for anything.  Well I will close hoping to hear from you by Friday night.  Love from all the family.  Mary G.                                                              Write soon
