Dear Sister Lizzie,

Received your letter Friday eve. glad to hear you are well as this leaves us at present with the exception of myself I was sick a few days.  Don’t know what was the matter.  Lagripp, I guess.  But I was pretty sick while it lasted.  You see today I did not have to wash, but will make up for it tomorrow we are going to thrash.  They are going to start in on our own to see if everything is all right.  I wish you could be here to help.

Mrs. Shugg sent word she would help but Sadie said she better not come or we would have to set the table outdoors for her and Mr Shug to get around the table.  What do you think?  Well, yesterday was Sunday and every thing went off as usual.  Gertie Storrs came home with Kate Saturday night.  They walked down.  We had a very nice time.

Mike Malone and Jim Golden came down in the afternoon.  Mart took the girls back in the eve.  There will be only one more Sunday for you to stay out there.  We will be glad.  I guess Kate about made up her mind not to go out to see you.  The trains don’t make good connections.  She would have to stay over night and she don’t want to do that.

Stella Stores and May Hoban, so they say, are going to Holland to the institute.  Do you intend to stay?  (I hope not).  Did you get a letter from Jule?  She said she would when she was out.  We haven’t heard from them since they went back.  Guess they are busy.

Dear sister, as Mary can not fill out this she told me to write some.  Well, Lizzie Poor Willie went across the lake last Saturday on the 1:40 train.

I guess that he was going to walk across the lake (poor fellow).  Hope he won’t get his little feet xxxx

Leo Hughes met him and some other man, he did not know who it was, at Ferrysburg.  Leo is up for three or four weeks.

I received a letter from Rose the night I got your’s.  She said that Maggie Malone went to Holland to school and she would see Willie’s LizzieFrank was down yesterday as usual (ow) Well as Mary told you all the rest except that I have to iron, I will close hoping you will ans. this very soon.

Your sister (Sally)
