Dear Sister..—

I received your welcome letter and was glad to hear from you.  Sadie and Mary wrote so I thought I would write.  School commences Monday.  We are going to thrash tomorrow and Pa is going to Coopersville now.  Maggie Ryan is staying up to Aunt Kate’s.  She come and stayed with us three or four nights.

The apples are almost ripe.  Cora Lillie is up to FitzPatrick’s visiting.  Minnie and her were down to see us Thursday.  The men are thrashing now to try the engine.  Leo Hughes come up Saturday to stay a few weeks.  We heard yesterday Nellie Muzzall was worse.  She has cancer of the stomach.

Did you look for Katie yesterday?  Those onions you and Mary sowed are almost fit to use.

Well, I guess I will close.  So Good by.  Your Sister,

Nora G.

P.S. I wrote to John Saturday but did no get no answer yet.
