My loving teacher:

As I have been waiting for my pitcher to send to you.  I did not write so I guess you will excuse me for this time.

How are all the soakes in Denison.  My Grand  Ma died a few weeks ago.  She had a large funral .  It left a sad home at that house.  She left to small boys.

Josie and I went up to make the star school a visit that afternoon and had a splendid time.  The was very glad to see us.

Our school is out now.  It has been out for just a week and oh I am so glad it is commencing for I get so lonesome at home.  I am in the fourth reader and so is Grace and Winnie.  I find it pretty hard.  Grace has her hair gut and so she looks so funny.  She don’t look like the same girl atool.  I sit with Lillie Xford this turn.  I like her very well for a seat mate.  She is very nice.  I think we had four new pupiles at school this turn.

There names are Vialo Hurbed.  He is 8 years old and the other Allie Cross.  She is 9.  And Whelty Cross and Mame Cross.  They live a crosed the road from the school house.

On Clumbes day we was invited down at the head District school and had a very nice time.  We ate up a Mrs. Nelice’s.  I thought of you all day.  We all xxxx you.  Xxxx down there for we know you would have a good time.  We had a very larg load and I thought we would sit Miss Goodenou creasy for we cheered so loud and sang every think we could think of.  I had a letter from my cousin yesterday and was very glad to here from her.  She is well.  She is going to school.  She lives at Six Lales.  Xxxx when we went to make our visit in vacation.

Minnie Balfor is teaching school now down at the Zinzer school down by the Rapids.  She board at Mr. Xxits.  That is just a cross the road.

Lizzie Hielemen got a letter from you and she let me read it.  Rose was telling me that you wanted me to write to you.  I will send you our pitcher if you will send me of yours.  Now be sure.

I am going to a party next Monday night.  It is a birthday party.  Birt Cross is going to have it.

I am going to take her a preseand and I don’t know what to get for her.  We are going to have a large school this winter.  Such lots of large girls and boys.  Are you teaching school now?  I expect you are.  Have you a large school.  I was coming up to see you when you was coming to Berlin school.  I wanted to see you very bad.  Did you board in Mr. Welches house.

I study Geographety now.  I don’t like that very well.

I have forgot that Diloge that Grace and I spoke the last day of school.

Joe sends a kiss to you.  Well I guess I will close.  I am getting sleepy and I guess I will go to bed for I have to get up early and help Mamma get breakfast.  Kate has gone away up town so I have to help Mamma.  Well I guess I will close for this time, so good by.  Write soon.

From your loving pupil
