My Dear Lizzie,

I send you some work.  Did not have school.  Went to town on the 9:45.  Came back on the 1:30.  Received your letter.  Could not get xxx (alone?) to answer at the house so came down here.  Flora would feel terrible if she would read some of the letters I had written you.  Please be careful that she never sees them, won’t you dear. Flora thinks a good deal of you but don’t want you in her place.

I will look for you Sunday sure.  Will not write again but we will stay after school wont we.  I am glad you are lonesome yet very glad Mary went with me this morning.  Burt went home.  Agnes went to her house in place of Flora.

Flora found out you wrote me and had a hard time to get over it.  Did not know it until she had commenced school.  Closed her school. Came to the depot, cried.  I took her to town with me.  I think she will feel better.  I did not tell her about the one I received today (such a good one too).  I could write you daily I guess and never tire of it and receive one too.

Well little comfort it is doing and I can see the lines so I will close at this time.

Yours with love,

Cora
