Hi Everyone,

Just had coffee and a muffin at the Sweetwater Organic Market on the corner of Harvey St. and Pontaluna this a.m. and heard Jo Ann and Donna pickin' and singin' with about a dozen other talented folk and bluegrass musicians.  Helen is the manager and when she wasn't chawin' off my ear, I could listen to the great music by this bunch.  And the good news is they're going to be playing soon in Nunica:

They were fabulous!  Jo Ann and Donna do such a fantastic job with all the others.  See you there!

The group will be playing at the Coopersville Outhouse Festival in a couple of weeks and then back at Sweetwater in March.  Jo Ann or Donna can reply to this message to everyone letting us know the details about Coopersville and Sweetwater.

They also play the first and third Tuesday evenings at the Coopersville Farm Museum from 6 to 9 p.m.

Special Alert:  St. Luke's Lutheran Church is holding their 6th annual "Sauerkraut Supper" at the Crockery Town Hall on Sat., Feb,. 28, 4 to 7 p.m.  Helen sold me a ticket.  Adults are $8 with children 4 to 9 years $5.00 and free for kids under 3.  It is being held at the Crockery Hall this year due to remodeling at St. Luke's.  Another night of fun and entertainment in Nunica!

Hey Glenn.  Nice to hear from you.  Funny thing, I was just on your website yesterday.  I really enjoy the history and stories.  Shirley C. gave me the website address this summer and I forwarded it on to Ken in Alaska . It is really nice. So now, today I hear from you...Nice surprise.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your putting our show on your web.  I started a "Front Porch Pickin" presents...program a few months ago with some musician friends.  We started at the Sweet Water Farmers Market in Muskegon to help generate some revenue for the vendors.  We have had so much fun doing that.  This upcoming show was designed to help get people thru the winter blahs.  Music has a way of doing that.  Then it was mentioned that some friends have lost jobs and had to resort to the "food pantry" for help so, with any luck at all, we can pull some donations together to pool into that area. I will get some info for you and, thanks again for putting us on your website.  We are not professionals but folks don't seem to mind.

Hi Jo Ann,

It was good to hear from you and Arlene.  I liked your flyer.  I took the liberty to post it to the "nunica.com" website.  You can see what I did if you go to www.nunica.com and click on "Front Porch Pickin".  If you like, I would be happy to keep this "Front Porch Pickin" web page current for you.  Just e-mail me any new flyers that you develop.

Will you have a flyer for the Coopersville 500 Out House Race?

Arlene, thanks so much for sharing the news with folks.  If mom wouldn't ground me, I would ask you to be the manager...haha

Hope we can live up to your glowing report..

Also here is Sweetwater market www.sweetwaterlocalfoodsmarket.org so folks can get an idea what the vendors sell there.

We have "Tiki O'Riley celtic group in the market March 14th. Check them out.

We will be there again the end of March.  Coopersville 500 Out House race is Feb.28 so we will be "jamming" in the Farm Museum that day.

Keep smilin..

Jo Ann
